This took place in Talladega, Alabama around 1995. I am 54 years old now and I have never done any kind of drugs and very little alcohol. I only have one son and he was in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in college. He had been there about three years, so there was only my husband and I still at home. My husband would always leave for work around 5.00 a.m. and he would always wake me up before he left so that I could get ready to go to work myself.
This particular morning I was lying there trying to make myself get up, and all a sudden I heard heavy breathing in the other end of my house. I was not asleep and I had heard the sound of my husband's truck leaving the driveway. I heard the breathing coming closer to my bedroom. I was facing the door in the direction it was coming toward. I knew nothing had come into my house that night because the burglar alarm would have gone off if there had been.
This being came into my bedroom. Of course, I was scared out of my mind, but I had to see what it was. I glanced up at it and it was like dark smoke in the form of a man. Its face was completely black and it was looking at me. It smelled like a fire pit. I lay there scared to move with my eyes closed now, and I felt it sit down on my bed. This thing was very very heavy. I have a very expensive mattress and box spring, and this thing picked my side of the bed up. My husband weights 210 pounds and he doesn't even shake it when he lays down.
This thing was still breathing very hard and it was like a struggle for it to breathe. It was now lying on my bed beside me and I was facing it. I couldn't look anymore. I began to pray that this thing would leave my home, and after a few minutes I felt it get up off the bed and it proceeded to go back the way it came in. I kept listening for it to be gone from the house, and I will tell you that it didn't come in a door or go out a door. But I finally couldn't hear the breathing anymore. It went out the side of the house that my dog pens are on, and there is no doorway for exiting on that side. My dogs began to bark something awful. I guess they saw or heard it to.
I don't know where it came from or where it went. All I care is that it doesn't come back.
